Telnet

A terminal emulation program for TCP/IP networks used to provide a unsecure way of accessing the router shell. As Telnet DOES NOT support password validation any machine on the WLan or LAN ports will potentially have full router access.

• Use SSH to securely access the router shell
• Although Windows has a builtin telnet client, the freeware client PuTTY is highly recommended.

Note: Telnet is blocked for access from the WAN (ETH1) Ports
